Not just torture but experimental torture. . .If these allegations are true, then heads need to roll!

I recently saw the movie, Unthinkable.  An American military expert in nuclear arms has converted to Islam and used his expertise to plant several nuclear bombs all over the country.  The dramatic tension of the movie revolves around a race between an FBI agent and an outlawed Army interrogator to persuade the terrorist to disclose the location of the bombs.  The agent uses humane techniques.  The interrogator tortures.  The movie does a good job of laying out the moral dilemmas of torture in the often-cited "ticking bomb" scenario used by proponents of torture.

  1. Here in New Zealand we dropped the drinking age from 20 down to 18. The result has been terrible. A recent Law Commission recommended raising the age back to 20 and our NZ Medical Association agreed with that.

You reveal your ignorance by asserting the drinking age should be lowered to 18. The phenomenon of binge drinking will not go away by making it legal for college students to purchase and consume alcohol. Irresponsible consumption of alcohol is a manifestation of America's hedonistic culture and the prolonging of adolescent immaturity, both of which are hallmarks of the American college experience. Reducing the drinking age to 18 will not grapple with either American hedonism or the delaying of maturity until the late twenties.
