A new design

A new look for HancAquam. . .what do you think?

Blogger was no longer offering a way to customize the older templates, so it was either stay with the old design forever or make a change.

  1. I like the design. I prefer the posts on the left & side bar on the right though.

  2. honestly don't remember the old version (I read your blog via an Google Reader ...) but:

Title is hard to read over the background, and your name is almost illegible. Anny way to put the blue backround behind the text and drop/stretch the picture underneath?

    just my 2 cents :)

I recall your previous template, but I agree with Marika's suggestions. I also prefer posts on the left and side bar on the right.

Sorry, I'm finding the new layout difficult to read. It would be easier if the section containing the posts were wider and you had less "dead" space on either side.

  5. What is the German text, btw?

I basically like it. Text on the left might be better and also I have trouble identifying which part of the text you have highlighted for links.

  7. Like the new layour, but from a VI point of view, the red text on black background in the title does not work. How about white text on a black background? High contrast and more Dominican!

  8. Fragrance, I've tried every color and the dark red works best. The only other option is to drop the pic, or change it.

Sorry, but the Novus Blogus is an illicit modernist innovation that lacks the dignity and agelessness of the Tridentine blog.

Seriously, it looks fine to me.

  10. The sidebars are a little hard on my eyes. It is difficult for me to focus on the text. :/

  11. Romish, you're hilarious. Seriously!

Dismas, no idea what the German text is. . .it's just a Blogger template. I'll get one of our German-speaking brothers to check it out.

DT, could you be a little more specific? Is it the link color? Or the transparency of the post field?

  12. The background makes the links on the side a little hard to read. Perhaps if you adjusted the
    transparency?

Did the banner include a painting of St. Dominic in prayer? I saw it yesterday, and it's gone today.
