The phenomenon of binge drinking will not go away by making it legal for college students to purchase and consume alcohol. Irresponsible consumption of alcohol is a manifestation of America's hedonistic culture and the prolonging of adolescent immaturity, both of which are hallmarks of the American college experience. Reducing the drinking age to 18 will not grapple with either American hedonism or the delaying of maturity until the late twenties.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18842286.post-81942594257463568912010-06-09T05:46:47.594-05:002010-06-09T05:46:47.594-05:00Your readers may be interested in the latest numbe...Your readers may be interested in the latest number of a Catholic heritage journal from Ireland entitled CHRISTVS REGNAT:

http://catholicheritage.blogspot.com/2010/06/christvs-regnat-june-2010.html

http://catholicheritage.blogspot.com/search/label/Christus%20Regnat

It would be extremely kind if you could post to let them know about it and if you could link to/blogroll our blog:

http://catholicheritage.blogspot.com

God bless you!Doc Hannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05709321640473528492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18842286.post-58800824400199203852010-06-09T00:30:48.973-05:002010-06-09T00:30:48.973-05:00Here in New Zealand we dropped the drinking age fr...Here in New Zealand we dropped the drinking age from 20 down to 18. The result has been terrible. A recent Law Commission recommended raising the age back to 20 and our NZ Medical Association agreed with that.

http://www.voxy.co.nz/national/nzma-voices-strong-support-law-commission039s-alcohol-report/5/46392Muerkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00983180202172098977noreply@blogger.com
