Let me remind you this [Americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you're going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.
Those of us who didn't drink the Hopey-Changey Kool-Aid two years ago have known all along that "health care reform" is really just a front for turning citizens into wards of the Nanny State.

Father, are you old enough to be bishop? .... just asking....
ReplyDeleteBig, yes, I am. . .however, I'm not masochistic enough.
ReplyDeleteNo, but the brethren are sadistic enough to nominate you. >;)

ReplyDeleteAs a Canadian I am trying to figure out just what it is that Americans want in terms of health care?
ReplyDeleteIf you take the politics out of it, it just seems civilized to want everyone to have access to decent health care!
Canadian, I do want everyone to have access to health care? What I do not want is the gross expansion of governmental power, the destruction of the economy thru taxation, the usurpation of the individual's freedom to choose to forgo insurance, etc.
ReplyDeleteHealth care can be reformed without 149 new federal bureaucracies, the IRS as a insurance police force, the public funding of abortion, etc.
Don't buy B.O.'s argument that his reform is the only available reform.
