Send up a few prayers for me, please!
Nothing major is wrong. Just tired and a bit stressed out. I left NDS yesterday early b/c I was having some worrying chest pains. Turned out to be indigestion.
The mission preaching in Bourg went well. . .but the driving back and forth -- New Orleans area roads and drivers are spiritually challenging -- and the lack of sleep the last few days has taken a toll.
Being an Introvert doesn't mix well with lots of public speaking type activities.
Shoulda been a monk. :-)
As Dame Julian of Norwich said, "All will be well."

Prayers said (you're on my morning rosary, anyway...), but I couldn't help noticing your mentioning again the stress of driving in the NOLA area. Don't know whether it's feasible, but haven't you considered making future trips by plane?
ReplyDeleteMFT, the mission was only an hour and fifteen minutes away. However, the major road going south out of NOLA is under construction and traffic is jammed for miles and miles. Most of the trip was easy. It's just out of NOLA and back in that causes me to lose my religion!
DeleteI pray for you daily, but am praying for you more under these stressful circumstances. It was at this time of year I had each of my five heart attacks, all of which came when I was younger than you are now, Fr. Whippersnapper.
ReplyDeleteI know what the problem is ... no coffee bowl browsing for ages. I miss it and you need a little time out I think when your brain can relax a bit.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin....
maryclare :-)
Thank you all for your prayers! I need them. Being an introvert makes travel and the public nature of mission preaching a strain. Again, not impossible, just very, very exhausting.
ReplyDeleteMaryClare, I may have to start CCB back up!
Could this be an enlarging of the heart for Christ??
