Global Warming = Global Gov't, says Pope Gore

We've known all along that the Global Warming Alarmists had an agenda other than saving the planet from carbon-poisoning.

Now we they've named it:

“'Just two weeks ago, the House of Representatives passed the Waxman-Markey climate bill,' Gore said, noting it was “'very much a step in the right direction.' President Obama has pushed for the passage of the bill in the Senate and attended a G8 summit this week where he agreed to attempt to keep the Earth's temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees C.

Gore touted the Congressional climate bill, claiming it 'will dramatically increase the prospects for success' in combating what he sees as the 'crisis' of man-made global warming.

“'But it is the awareness itself that will drive the change and one of the ways it will drive the change is through global governance and global agreements.'”

Read the whole--very scary--thing here.

  1. Terrific. The end result will include regulating our thermostats, transfat consumption, tobacco usage, picking our pockets for universal health care and increased scrutiny for "hate crimes" of varying degree, we'll be able to look forward to globally mandated abortion and euthanasia.

I'm sure the site for future reeducation camps are already being chosen. See you in the gulag, comrades.

  2. Magical thinking as government policy. The inmates really are running the asylum.

  3. Subvet, dear, you forgot about the fart detectors we're gonna have to wear. Cuz you know they found that human and animal farts were causing a large portion of the "global warming" and so we'll have CERTAIN gasseous foods banned and all pairs of underwear will be sold with fart dectors wired right in...satellite hookup to the National Fart Detection Czar. who will then tax us based on the frequency, potency, and duration of our farts.

  4. Of course I'd hate global governance, but the irony is it would be an improvement in many ways, if it were actually government by majority vote of all the Earth's population, and not governance by our usual leftist masters. For one thing, if the whole globe had a vote, we'd be spending less money on "global warming" and more on stopping all those preventable deaths from starvation and disease in the third world.

In case anything thinks I'm a fanatic for putting "global warming" in quotes, this video from 2:40 to 5:30 has statistics on Earth's current and past temperature:

  5. Oh, the sheer arrogance, I reject that we are able to control the weather as much as Canute could control the waves. The whole irony is that Gorebots are extremely conservative in this matter, they don't realize that the Earth goes through changes!!! Whether or not we are living on it. If Gore was a trilobite, he would argue against land arthropods as destroying the pristine landscapes.

  6. Giving all the earth's population a vote? ROFL. That is the farthest thing from the global governance crowd's thoughts.

It's more like: we know what you need better than you do -- so take what we dish out and shut up!!

Which is why they pay scant attention to Africans' complaints about condom dumping and more (and MORE) contraceptives instead of clean water, sanitation, and DDT. Think: How many years and how many dead Africans (and Asians) did it take before WHO finally agreed to use DDT once again to fight malaria?
