Rec's for pipe tobacco?

While we're on hats. . .any suggestions on a good pipe tobacco?

Something smooth, sweet that won't smell like burning trash. . .?

Were you still in Irving, I'd take you tobacco shopping.

My favorite that fits your description is one called Black Cordial, but it was a premixed blend, so I have no clue what they mixed into it at the factory.

Being as you are in Rome, I don't know what to suggest. I don't know what you have available, and I've never shopped for pipe tobacco in Rome.

Also, it looks like I won't make it to Rome as hoped next month, although my brother is still going. I'll email you details in the next week or so.

I didn't know you smoked a pipe! Now I'm really excited about coming to Rome (as if I wasn't excited enough already). I've had good luck with the flavored tobacco (amaretto and vanilla are both good).

1Q is the best pipe tobacco that I have tried (many of my friends agree as well). It has a light vanilla flavor, but not too sweet. Smells good in the bag and smoked.

Go to a swanky shop in Rome and sniff your way to something marvelous.

Although the stores are always closed. Even on the days when you're SURE they're open.

Like coffee, they've gotta have the best.

Wear a fedora and why not try a big, fat cigar?

  9. If you ever have a chance, try a real hookah (perhaps at a real mideastern hookah bar, not some dive). They get an unfair, bad rep from being used by druggies for their own destruction, but a flavored tobacco hookah (or sheesha) is an excellent smoke. Extremely smooth.

Black Forest is what got me smoking a pipe. Nice smooth, hint of sweetness, and hot but not bitter.

If you can find tobacco by Peterson, try it. lots of flavors all good.
