  1. Hope you have a backup program. If not, I recommend Backblaze.

And regarding antivirus, don't waste your time with Norton/AVG/Avast; install this one instead.

    1. MFT, it's written in some kind of weird language! It doesn't even use normal letters! ;-)

Portuguese can't be that weird... ;) Try this one instead. Sorry; didn't pay attention to the link.

    3. Thanks for the normal language link! ;-) I use AVG and it seems to work well; however, I'll give this one a try when the new 'puter gets here.

Both links open regularly here...they are the same, actually, with just the "pt-BR" replaced with "en-US". It must be some regional encoding browser issue...

Microsoft Security Essentials is commonly regarded as the best free ativirus available. I used AVG before it but it kept bothering me with requests to switch to the paid version for complete protection...

"A headline that really struck me on the day of the tragedy in Bangladesh was 'Living on 38 euros a month'. That is what the people who died were being paid. This is called slave labour. Today in the world this slavery is being committed against something beautiful that God has given us — the capacity to create, to work, to have dignity. How many brothers and sisters find themselves in this situation! Not paying fairly, not giving a job because you are only looking at balance sheets, only looking at how to make a profit. That goes against God! There are many people who want to work but cannot. When a society is organised in a way that not everyone is given the chance to work, that society is not just."

    1. Couldn't agree more. . .of course, a BIG part of getting a job is actually having that job made available by someone willing to pay you to do the work. The biggest destroyer of good paying job is. . .(drumroll). . .government!
