New podcast!

Lazy me. . .I finally got around to posting the podcast of last Tuesday's homily, "Resisting the world's leaven."

Check it out by clicking on the "Roman Homilies" link in the right side-bar.

Let me know what you think. . .good, bad, and/or ugly! I haven't listened it yet.

  1. I love a good "in your face" homily. Thank you for the reminder that I need to be a witness to God's word, love, and mercy in my life and for the reminder that not to be so is dangerous to me as well as others. This Gospel passage struck deeply when I heard it and later re- read it for myself last week. So much so I blogged about it. As a teacher myself, I can empathize(on a much smaller scale of course) with Jesus'frustration with his students. The Apostles, like me needed an "Aha Moment". Your homily was another one of those for me. Thanks and sorry for babbling so long!

  2. I love Mark's portrayal of the apostles. It gives me hope that I am not completely lost when it comes to following Christ. How many times have I said in the face of the Lord's teachings: "Uh?"
