California's neo-feudalism

And they did it all w/o any GOP "obstructionism"!

". . .the Golden State now suffers the highest level of poverty in the country—23.5 percent compared to 16 percent nationally—worse than long-term hard luck cases like Mississippi. It is also now home to roughly one-third of the nation’s welfare recipients, almost three times its proportion of the nation’s population."

  1. I tried to resist commenting but I can't. A huge element in this sad situation is demographic, the influx of Mexicans. Victor Davis Hanson, who bends over backwards to be decent, has described his once flourishing, clean and safe central valley farm area as now reminiscent of North Africa in the days when the Vandals were battering down the gates of Hippo and Augustine was on his deathbed. And you know what I would say about the Church's complicity in aiding and abetting this illegality and, very importantly, thereby sharing in the moral responsibility --with the Democrats--for all the ills which accompany it.
