Just read on Drudge that the PelosiCare bill is 1,990 pages long!
Let's see. . .
435 members of the House
100 members of the Sentate
1 occupant of the White House (unless he's playing golf)
That's 536 copies (at minimum) x 1,990 pgs each = 1, 066,640 pages!!!
Or 2,133 packs of standard printer/copier paper.
How many trees is that?
And, collectively, maybe one full bill will be read among them all.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, but I hope they'll be euthanized.
ReplyDeletedont forget that one for each staffer and assistant and lobbyist etc.....
ReplyDeleteToo many!!!!

And most likely unread for the most part as well.
ReplyDeleteJohn Kassaian, I am shocked you would suggest such a thing. They have 72 whole hours to review the bill before it is brought to the floor for debate and vote. I don't know about you, but that is plenty of time for me to read through 2000 pages of legal jargon line by line.
ReplyDeleteHow many people died for imaginary Weapons of Mass Destruction. People over trees any time.
ReplyDeleteAnd grown people are, indeed, people every bit as much as the ones in the womb. They get little air time, healthcare, education or retirement benefits.
The elderly are "the least of these" and get little recognition since they are no longer cuddly and cute.

That's a funny point. Here's a funny music video making fun of Obamacare, and the progressive view of their "New America:"
