"A [preacher] who does not love art, poetry, music and nature can be dangerous. Blindness and deafness toward the beautiful are not incidental; they are necessarily reflected in his [preaching]." — BXVI
Anon., I don't know what it is you want me to do with this vid. There's nothing really new presented in the vid. Everything they are talking about has been hashed and rehashed by the Gnostics and every other syncreticist theologian since the dawn of time. They are free to do and think what they want, but as a Catholic I don't buy it. It's largely an attempt to undermine the uniqueness of Christ's incarnation and Passion for our us. The move is simple: define Christian terms so broadly that they can apply to just about any religious-theological system, then claim that all religions are really just the same.
BTW, I don't fume about B.O.! I smolder. Fuming requires too much energy.
I apologize for posting this here. But I didn't know where to "place" it.
I've heard from Jeni Stepanek. Her book, Messenger, is not "moving." I've read it and it is enormously inspirational and very "true." Unlike some other books out now wherein EVERY prayer is granted, this is a thoughtful look at a devoted Catholic family.
She wants her son's message to reach out to the world. Please buy the book if you can. It is a worthy investment.
She is an astonishing woman. Every time I hear from her I am reminded of the value of prayer. She has astonishing clarity.

I have a perpetual headache from all the eye-rolling and head-shaking I've been doing since obama came into office.
Dear Father,
ReplyDeleteI am very offended from the way you speak about Dear Leader. Dear Leader we love you, yes we do!

We're talking about a politician from an area famous for dead people voting, this one should come as no shocker.

Yeah, the vid has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Ecce spamnus dei.
ReplyDeleteWell, I looked at it and liked it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a free country. At least in my mind.
The molecules that have not been colonized by the narrow and disconsolate.
THEY seem HAPPY and they're doing good things. Most priests I know are disheveled and unhappy.
In fact, one I know is the biggest advocate of psychotropic drugs. Don't take it to God; take paxil.
Gimme those other folks any day. I thank the person who posted the link. It was fun.
