IN the Harper's article, the statistics regarding charitable giving DO NOT square with a single study I have read in the last ten years. I think his numbers are wrong. I question his source - if he had one. To be so inaccurate, it must have been a U.N. poll.
ReplyDeleteHis numbers only include developmental aid to countries, not overall charitable contributions. I agree, too, that the numbers don't make sense. One of the polls is from the UN and another from an "independent" think tank. (See http://www.commondreams.org/headlines05/0104-13.htm.)
