Below is what I just posted on my FaceBook page.

Thank you Father, for saying Yes to God.

FaceBook - Monday, Jan. 17, 2011

Even get the exact piece of wisdom you needed to hear at a particular point in life?

That just happened to me, and it reminds me of Fr. Luke's words at evening Mass last night, about remaining watchful because God is everywhere and it's easy to miss Him where and when we do not expect to find Him, like in a "bush."

My experience this morning is not that dramatic. God's message to me came in the blog of a Dominican friar, where one normally looks for divine messages. But it is still neat because of the timing in my life.

"God is not waiting to love you until you figure out how to transform yourself in a New Lovable You."

"You are loved by God, if no one else. If you are struggling to change yourself into new wine, fighting temptations and trials to make yourself into someone wholly new and different in order to be loved by God, stop it. Just stop it. Do something more useful with your time and energy. Instead, receive God's gift of love with humility and gratitude."

Fr.
