I remember this one from last year, and that it was just what I needed to hear then . . . I need something else this year, but that doesn't take away from this homily. Beautiful images, good use of today's Scripture, "literary" in a good way. <br /><br />What I need to hear today is something along the lines of: the journey up the mountain is only possible for those who have lightened or unburdened themselves from unnecessary "stuff"/attachments for the arduous climb up to the top. And after saying that, the priest needs to come down, take me by the shoulders, and say "So unburden yourself, already! What are you waiting for, woman?!?"
