I am a nerd and when I get in...What a great homily. I am a nerd and when I get into trouble I have difficulty just walking away from theological nerd study and focusing on the Holy Cross. They say keep your eyes on the prize. For us the prize is the Cross, both for what Christ has done for us and our true destination on earth for we are to take up our Cross with him. I use a version of the stations of the cross which says the reason Simon of Cyrene was told to help Jesus carry His cross was to show that we are all supposed to take up the Cross.<br /><br />And to that theologian (so glad I am not one or else I would think I have just been called a dead horse): No, I don't want to reconceptualize anything thank you.Banjo pickin girlnoreply@blogger.com
