And yet, I..."Don't be surprised...." And yet, I am almost always surpised. Probably says more about me than "them", though.

"Evil is the void...so we too must fill the vacant spirits of human evil with the love Christ reveals on his cross." Right there, so simply said, so straight-forward and clear, is what I need to hear, that of which I need to be reminded. Sometimes so hard to follow, so easy to answer evil with evil - to try to fill in the void with more void - no wonder revenge and anger and hatred leave one feeling so empty.

Last paragraph really got me - this was such a simple, soft-spoken (well, it read as soft-spoken, at least!) and direct homily. Nothing fancy - and yet, in those quiet uncomplicated words so much was said. Excellent crafting of words/phrases - well put together.

Thank you. What does it say about people who can read, and put pictures on their bodies?
I really don't expect an answer. Your picture just brought Delmont to mind. He died a few years ago. BTW, he was in formation to be a Lay Dominican, but got too sick and eventually died. He did make his simple promises and memorized them, since he couldn't read them.
May Our Lord have mercy on him. He had a rough life.Faithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13945662015612932618noreply@blogger.com
