Bound to Happen

Well, there's a First Time for Everything, I suppose. . .

Seminarian Brad Doyle goes to a Halloween party dressed up as. . .Me. (sigh)

I give this costume a "C-". . .note the lack of coffee stains on the habit.

When I got the first glimpse of the photo, I thought it was the first time the guy hit his forehead on a roof or something... :)

    1. MFT, I am prone to overheating while celebrating Mass, so I sweat. . .a lot. He's making sport of my affliction. Woe is me!

  2. I give him an A for imitating that pose. Looks like some things remain the same. =)

Is it an after-diet impersonation, perhaps...?

    3. Uh, oh! I remember what happened to me when I intimated that you were fa... uh, big-boned ;-).

But don't forget that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

    4. Oh, I am flattered. I've never been imitated before. It's kinda. . .disconcerting.

  4. During my two Kafkaesque years as a high school teacher in Brooklyn, once on a Friday for last period I let the class clown do his imitations of the faculty. He was dead on and hilarious. Then he started doing some guy I could not place and the class erupted. It was me. Yikes. Never again.

It did occur to me later in life that one creative scenario for the Last Judgment is to have our guardian angels do impersonations of us as we really were and we have to look at it. Yikes.
