Brave New World

The Laptop arrived today!    Deo gratis! [with apologies to the ever-vigilant Latinists]

It uses Windows 8. . .and this means it will take me three days to figure out what I'm doing.

Off tomorrow. . .but all will be back to normal on Wednesday.

    "Deo gratis!"

I think you do this just to make latinists cry...

    Fr. P,

Look up Classic Shell, which restores the Start button and mostly does away with the silly, unusable squares on a laptop.

  3. Good luck with Windows 8! Glad you got the laptop in. We are looking forward to the Pentecost preaching! Pray for me please, as I will be also preaching this weekend. May our words set hearts on fire for Christ and His Church!

  5. Yea!! Glad it finally made it! My office computer use Windows 7, which I really like . . . my home laptop has Windows 98 :-). Guess I'll be in for a shock when my laptop decides to give up the ghost and I have to get something new!

    1. Win8 hasn't been that difficult to manage. I'm not a linear thinker, so it's been a matter of diving in and figuring it out.
