It's the fiber. . .I just know it is!

Fat Report. . .

Back to 338 lbs.  I blame it on the fiber pills.

Off to SubWay for a chicken beast sub on wheat. . .no mayo.

  1. Don't do it, Father! Too much wheat! Too much bread! Too many carbohydrates!

You need to join Jimmy Akin's Ultimate Low Carb Club!

  4. May I suggest that to lose weight you follow your national food guide, and if your doctor approves, about an hour a day of physical activity. (It doesn't have to super strenuous, a mildly quickquick walk will do.) 2 litres of water a day will keep you hydrated and keep the retention at bay.

It is a slower way to lose but usually safer. Always consult your physician though. There may be conditions we know nothing about.

You may want to get some blood work done. I found out that I had hypothyroidism for myself last May. The only thing that works for me is exercise.

  6. Cory, talked to my doc on Friday. My blood work is all normal. I almost wish I did have something correctable that would address the weight problem. . .alas, it's just me eating the wrong things and not exercising.

  7. I am thinking of trying the nuratrim supplement. Anything to curb the appetite has to be a good thing! I will let you know if it works. Nuratrimdotcom

  8. Please, really try the low carb diet as promoted by Gary Taubes in his latest book. I started January 1 and this morning I'm down from 212.8 to 210.6. And I'm an old lady who has to use a cane to get around, so you can't chalk it up to exercise. Praying for your success.

This fat old man is still praying for you during long walks each morning. Well, during short walks if the temp is less than 10 degrees Fahrenheit at 0600, but you get the idea.

BTW (wanted to send this privately so it doesn't seem like bragging, but couldn't find the email addy) I've had remarkable success against a different bad habit by praying the Angelus pretty regularly since July. Just sayin'.

  11. The initial weight loss in the low carbohydrate diet is dehydration due to glycogen loss. One gram of glycogen has two grams of hydration water.
