Recycler-in-Chief celebrates Earth Day in style!  Burn 53,300 gallons of jet fuel.  Clogs L.A. streets with his limo and a 30 vehicle-motorcade.

Send greetings on every Muslim holiday on the calendar. . .Earth Day greeting. . .but nothing for Easter.    Maybe this omission explains this pic? :-)

Just being nice ain't enough:  "The religions that grow, succor and motivate people to perform heroic acts of service are usually theologically rigorous, arduous in practice and definite in their convictions about what is True and False."

A question of fairness in the U.K. It's not about not helping those in need; it's about not surrendering our freedom to bureaucrats and politicians who use "poverty" to gobble up power.

"Dirty weeds" can't be recycled. . .Clean up your trash, granny!!

The Zombie Apocalypse begins in CA, specifically SanFran. . .more specifically, last week.

Secure your wireless access or the Black Helicopters may be circling your house in the near future.

Two things the Left loves:  Green-ism and taxes.  Why not combine the two?  YEA!

"Parking Tickets" for all those time you go to WalMart and some @#$% has managed to take three spaces!  (Yea, bad parking is just one of the things that cause me to need whisper a quick Act of Contrition.)

Profound sayings from the Wisdom of the Ages.  My college friends used to say about a particularly clueless colleague, "He's a stump in the rain."  Also, we liked, "All flash, no film."

I think you should have done some doublechecking before posting that bit of FOX libel about Obama and Easter. He hosted a prayer breakfast. He made a statement. The question is, why are they lying about something like this? What is their political purpose?

  2. Bill, can you send the link to B.O.'s Easter statement? It's been reported by a number of media outlets that he didn't make a statement.

  3. This link: http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/proclamations -- does not seem to show an Easter proclamation. Likewise, http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-and-releases (This is where you find Eid, etc)

  4. From Remarks by the President at Easter Prayer Breakfast, held last Tuesday:

"I wanted to host this breakfast for a simple reason -– because as busy as we are, as many tasks as pile up, during this season, we are reminded that there’s something about the resurrection -- something about the resurrection of our savior, Jesus Christ, that puts everything else in perspective.

"We all live in the hustle and bustle of our work. And everybody in this room has weighty responsibilities, from leading churches and denominations, to helping to administer important government programs, to shaping our culture in various ways. And I admit that my plate has been full as well. (Laughter.) The inbox keeps on accumulating. (Laughter.)

"But then comes Holy Week. The triumph of Palm Sunday. The humility of Jesus washing the disciples’ feet. His slow march up that hill, and the pain and the scorn and the shame of the cross.

"And we’re reminded that in that moment, he took on the sins of the world -- past, present and future -- and he extended to us that unfathomable gift of grace and salvation through his death and resurrection."

  5. Tom, those are quotes from the prayer breakfast. The criticism is NOT that B.O. said nothing about Easter. The criticism is that he has issued an official greetings on every Muslim holiday since he took office. He did not issue the traditional presidential Easter greeting this year.

  6. Last week in Latin, my son learned the phrase "Curta suppellex" which literally means "scanty furniture" referring to someone less wise than his peers. He was, unfortunately, quite happy to learn an insult his brothers do not yet know.
