"Young Dads," or First Five Years of Ordination

For the first five years after ordination, Dominican friars in the U.S. gather together annually for a retreat. This pic was taken in 2007 at San Felipe de Neri in the "Old Town" of Albuquerque, NM.  The retreat master that year was Fr. Allen White, OP, former Provincial of the English Province (first row, fourth from the R).

  2. Some of those faces look very familiar from my time at CUA law (across the street from the DHOS) in D.C.

  3. Father,

An bit of anecdotal info. The parish where this picture was taken is San Felipe de Neri in the "Old Town" of Albuquerque, NM. This is the parish where my parents were married and I was baptized. The pastor Fr. Dennis Garcia is my God Father. I head from our WDP friars that a good time was had by all.

  5. I love the habits. But they've got to be hard as heck to keep clean! It's an immutable law of nature: every time I wear white, I have to spill something down the front of it. Every. Flippin'. Time.

(And as a Dominican, I get plenty of opportunities for spilling stuff.)
