"A [preacher] who does not love art, poetry, music and nature can be dangerous. Blindness and deafness toward the beautiful are not incidental; they necessarily are reflected in his theology." —Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger
Thanks. I'm going to need these. Due to work, I'll have to go somewhere in the Dallas Diocese. I'm dreading that, but such is life. *sigh*I hope you've had a safe and blessed Immaculate Conception in Rome.
flambeaux, what's wrong with the Dallas Diocese??
More than can or should be said in a ComBox based on my 15 years of living in the Metroplex. I understand things may get better under the present Ordinary, but I have yet to see any evidence of it.At present, I reside in the Diocese of Fort Worth which, while not much better on average, has a few more islands of sanity than Dallas. But the Latin Rite parish nearest my employer is in the Diocese of Dallas. While it is a lovely building, the liturgy there (as elsewhere in the Diocese of Dallas) leaves much to be desired.
